It’s finally summer in Chicago, which means music festivals, movies in the parks, and The Chicago Reader’s annual “Best of Chicago” list. Ever since the weekly alt-paper began naming a “Best Overall Neighborhood” in 2011, Logan Square has won the award every time. This year, nearby northwest side nabe Wicker Park has finally dethroned Logan Square. Though there’s no criteria listed, or description as to what makes a neighborhood the best overall in Chicago, we’ll just have to take the Reader’s word on it. Logan Square hasn’t been completely bumped off the charts, as it took second best overall neighborhood for 2014.
