THE RIVERVIEW BRIDGE & 312RiverRun PROJECT

The nearby Riverview Bridge, which began construction in November 2017, will soar over the Chicago River, connect Belmont to Montrose and will include a 1,000 foot curved section just north of Addison.

It is a part of a bigger project called 312RiverRun. that extends a jogging, biking and walking path for nearly 2 miles between Addison Street and Irving Park Avenue and links parks and other recreational facilities. Work will be divided into two phases and is planned to be complete by late 2019. Funding for the $25.7 million project is from federal, state and local sources. The bridge and path are a big step forward toward creating a continuous system of trails along the river.
